Present: e → ie

Recognize pensar's present change without applying it to every tense.

Remember

pensar → pienso nosotros pensamos

In pensar's present, the stressed stem vowel changes e → ie in pienso, piensas, piensa and piensan. Nosotros pensamos and vosotros pensáis do not make this change. This label describes the present pattern, not all forms of the verb.
